Local Mobile API
The Zvents Mobile API provides programmatic access to business listings, events, performers, users and tags indexed by Zvents.
The API supports the REST interface. What exactly does that mean? Basically, all interaction with the API is performed over the HTTP protocol. All API calls support a number of output formats including XML, RSS and JSON.
- Bring time-based, local content to users on their mobile devices - where they are, when they want it.
- Expand your audience and your reach and allow your advertisers to target consumers on the go.
What is the Mobile API?
The Zvents Mobile API provides programmatic access to objects stored in the Zvents search index. These objects include event, business and performer listings as well as the information associated with those listings such as event tickets available, restaurant attributes and specific classifications such as "family-friendly." The Zvents Mobile API supports a REST (REpresentational State Transfer) interface, meaning that all interaction with the API is performed over the HTTP protocol.
The Zvents Mobile API is intended for use in developing mobile-based applications that require real time access to listing data through high quality, relevant responses to application queries leveraging Zventsí world class search technology.
How can the API be used?
The API may be used for delivering Zvents content through any mobile device via mobile browser-based interfaces such as WAP or native applications such as iPhone Apps.
Use of this API is restricted to mobile use and may not be used for powering web sites accessible through a standard desktop web browser.
What are the business terms?
Licensing of the Zvents Mobile API is simple. We charge a reasonable monthly usage fee based on the number of API calls. Contact bizdev at zvents.com for more info.
