Getting Started

Using the API is simple:

1. Login to your Zvents account, go to your MyZvents page and click on the Update Your Profile link. Then click the Generate button to generate an API key.
2. Read the documentation.
3. Start hacking!

Note: Usage of the Zvents Developer API must comply with our Terms of Use and API License. Generally speaking, non-competitive and non-commercial usage is free. Please contact us if you wish to make commercial use of the API.

"Powered By Zvents" Logo

Our API is available for partners and individuals who want to develop an application that requires dynamic access to our content using Zvents' algorithms for query relevance. If you display any content accessed through Zvents' API, you must also agree to exhibit the approved "powered by Zvents" logo that links directly to http://www.zvents.com with the all of the following attribution requirements:

Requirements

1. A text link must appear appended to the truncated description, directing users to the corresponding detail page on www.zvents.com. This link shall include either "Find out more on Zvents" or "For more details on Zvents."
2. A Zvents logo must appear above the fold on any page where Zvents' content appears and include a link back to www.zvents.com.
3. An alternative Zvents logo must appear next to each listing in search results that originates from Zvents and link back to www.zvents.com.
4. All logo placements must include "Zvents – Discover Things To Do" in the image alt text tag.
