Zvents launches redesigned website with larger images, more social features and improved recommendations

SAN MATEO, CA, April. 12, 2011 - Zvents today announced the launch of the redesigned Zvents.com with larger images, more social sharing features and improved recommendations. The new site, which has been in beta since November, was fully released today to the millions of monthly visitors who frequent Zvents.com.

"Live entertainment is fun and exciting and the new Zvents.com site brings that energy to the forefront in its design and features," said Ethan Stock, CEO of Zvents. "We're making it even easier to find and share fun things to do in your area."

Among the many improvements to the site are larger event images and video displays which help people engage with and learn more about the events they are exploring. Also included in the launch are expanded social sharing features which allow people to Like, RSVP and share events with their friends. The social features on Zvents are powered by the Facebook open graph.

"Word of mouth is incredibly important to the success of an event. Both in terms of people making plans to go out with their friends, and also in terms of people sharing tips and info about events they've attended and enjoyed." Said Stock.

Improved recommendations are also a key feature of the redesigned site. Built on the backbone of Zvents sophisticated event search technology, the recommendations are proving to be a useful tool in helping people discover events they might otherwise miss.
