Zvents 2010 Year in Review: Record growth and product innovation
SAN MATEO, CA, Feb. 1, 2011 - Zvents, the leader in local events discovery and promotion today announced record growth in 2010 with 11 million monthly unique users, more than 140,000 event promoters and 300 media partners across the US.
"2010 was a busy and exciting year marked by traffic and engagement growth and product innovation" said Ethan Stock, CEO and founder of Zvents. "We've seen the rapid expansion of our entertainment network into Mobile and the Facebook ecosystem, as well as strong growth of our web audience."
In September 2010, Zvents launched a new Facebook application for local events and entertainment and now provides users access to more than 600,000 event listings within Facebook.
Among the many accomplishments of the Zvents team in 2010 is the continued growth of the Premium Listings advertising product, launched in 2009 and now seen as a default advertising solution for many regional and national entertainment advertisers. Current national advertising partners include LiveNation, AEG, and Cirque Du Soleil.
Local online advertising, estimated at $12 billion in 2010 is expected to be a driver of overall online advertising growth in 2011 and beyond. Entertainment advertising represents a large and growing opportunity.
