Zvents Rolls Out National Restaurant Search

OpenTable Restaurants Included in Local Search Engine for Things to Do

San Mateo, CA - July 17, 2007 -- Zvents, the local search engine for things to do, today announced the nationwide expansion of their Restaurant search product. The expansion includes over 250,000 restaurants across major U.S. metro areas, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and San Francisco. Also included in the roll out are over 6,400 restaurants affiliated with OpenTable, the world's most popular website for making reservations online.

Restaurant search enables people to search for restaurants by cuisine, price, or distance from an address, and read and contribute restaurant reviews. Users can also make reservations at any of the OpenTable network restaurants, including 2007 James Beard award winners Jardiniere in San Francisco, TRU in Chicago, or Chanterelle in New York. People planning "dinner and a movie" dates can use Zvents to find local movie showtimes and nearby restaurants.

Several popular chain restaurants, including Outback Steakhouse, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and Applebee's, are searchable within Zvents. The new Restaurant search product also includes restaurants offering various cuisines, including American, Fusion, Californian, Vegetarian, African, Middle Eastern, Wine Bars, BBQ, Breweries, Pubs, Cuban, Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, and French.
