Zvents Publishes Google Event Discovery Mapplet

Local Events Search Engine Releases a Mapplet to See Things To Do

San Mateo, CA - July 11, 2007 -- Zvents, the local search engine for things to do, today announced the development of a Google Mapplet effectively putting event discovery on the map. Discover interesting places to go and things to do in hundreds of cities as the application dynamically updates to display popular concerts, festivals, classes, and theater.

Mapplets are mini-applications that expose new content when embedded within the Google Maps site. Examples include real estate search, current weather conditions, and gas prices.

This service follows Zvents' publication of Summer Event Calendars in Boston, San Jose, Chicago, Detroit, and Orange County, California through Google Calendar.

Zvents' Mapplet supports natural language search enabling users to define what and/or when should be displayed while dynamic updates allow browsing of things to do simply by dragging the map.
